Hmm..

I guess is normal.. I got 5 Vieja Fry with it.. along with another Male JD about its own size..

I've been feeding it FH food (EBJD) cuz the Vieja are actually a mix of Red dragon FH and Vieja.. but only result i see is the JD and Vieja Mix growing bigger and the EBJD is .5" at best?? I got him like 2 months ago and he's not any bigger from when i got him.. i think..

As for my other JD.. i've been meaning to give two fish a 55 gallon to pair off in.. but I dunno if My Female likes the male that i got.. maybe i should get more males about the same size..

just be careful with the other fish my fish arnt aggressive there all placid only the rivulatus and jd chase eachother !!

just becareful that the other fry dnt try and eat him or pick on him !

yes they can but the fry will die because they are not strong enough to survive past probably 2 months !!
but they can pair off as nc_nutcase's pair have done but not produced any living fry !! there are just display fish !
he has a nice pair !!

These BGs in the pic paired up at 2" and breed. I have always been able to get my JDs to spawn at 2.5". Heres a pick of them a month after the spawn at almost 3 in
