I just remembered seeing a thread earlier this year where a guy had a BIG Gold saum from Hawaii. he had it in his hand and it hung over both sides. I think it was 12" or so. VERY impressive fish. I dunno how he did it and still got those great colors to come out. I'm sure mine would be stressed too if I tried to handle it. Tough enough just to catch them :D

I wana see an adult real GT. Never seen one over 3" except for that one set of pics comparing them to the saum.

Wolf3101: Love that statue man

That would be me. The colors come from them being in the "wild" (Oahu, introduced). It was 13". I'll have to upload more of those photos, but I'll leave the gold saum photos out of this thread. :D

wow they really are rarer than i thought:nilly:

The first picture was of the babies in the QT tank just after we recieved them. The Ent decoration is one of two my wife insisted on buying because it looks like me...LOL (check my profile if you don't belive me....)

Anyway the secound picture was taken in the 29 gallon tank we have them growing out in. They have a nicely set up 60 gallon all ready and waiting for them as soon as the youngest batch of Pbass grow up.

She also ordered a number of REALLY nice Red jewel fry to do the same thing with.

isnt this a silver saum, i thought the real GT is just the same colour through out, no different on the tips.
