:screwy:Actually.......I have owned both wolves and snakeheads in the past and I know that they aren't the same. I wasn't trying to get into a debate but I do find it rather irritating when people hand out false information. Wolf fish and snakeheads aren't "equal" in aggressiveness whatsoever. Snakeheads are much much more aggressive. It's quite obvious you've never owned snakeheads before.

Read my post again.. I said they were equal in dangerousness.. not aggressiveness. I'm not handing out false information. I know SH's are more aggressive, I never said they weren't. :screwy:

Thanks guys, I don't know about the snakehead versus wolf debate. Heck, if they weren't illegal I'd go with a snakehead in a heartbeat. Except for the darned thing jumping out all the time, I loved it. I'm basically looking for something that hunts down a feeder every now and then to show the kids.

The wolf fish looks very interesting, but it also looks like it's hard to get. What do you all think about the orange pike cichlid the LFS recommended? I'll have to stop by this week to see if they could get a wolf. That other one looks pretty darned big. Would a 120 be big enough for a 20" wolf fish?

Thanks

The common wolf is good as well, I own both. But for the sake of showing kids I would chose the Red wolf over the common as the common wolf is strictly nocturnal and typically will only hunt at night. My common will not even eat before midnight anymore.

My Red wolf however will eat any time of the day and he begs for food. :D

It goes either way. You're handing out false information again. They AREN'T equal in dangerousness. A snakehead is capable of inflicting much more damage than a wolf fish. A person who's owned "both" would agree with me.

dats all tha way!

Totally I would recommend oscars. They pretty eat anything small enough to eat when you toss them in the tank, and don't give you a gore fest by ripping up the prey in chuncks. Go with the 129 gallon tank and put about 4 oscars in it. They'll look totally amazing when they grow up. I'm in 6th grade myself, and I know my classmates would totally love to watch an oscar feed!
