Hi...please suggest what makes an Arowana to jump in the tank.
Actually I ve seen the jump is very strong.

1) too small or overly crowded tank
2) bad water parameters
3) they get scared/spooked easily, esp when when young, jumping is their flight/fright mode response. Even lighting changes can scare an Aro that is younger/new to a tank
4) they see some insect or something else on the tank lid that attracts their attention
5) just because they can

My Blue Base once jumped out of her tank (though luckily survived with just a few lost scales) -- and I'm 99% sure the reason was that she was simply pissed off: I opened her lid to feed her, then realized I forgot a spoon, walked 15 steps away to get one but on the way back stopped at another Aro tank to check him out (which Blue Base could see). She didn't like the delay and bam, next thing I knew she was on the ground trying to swim across the floor. Again my feeling is that she just got angry/frustrated -- she had never exhibited any jumping behavior in the tank previously.

So lesson learned, now I NEVER walk away from a tank with the lids up.

Arowana jump, when they aren't comfortable in a tank.

The tank is small, the fish is stressed, these are the reasons your fish is jumping, and this can cause other issues, such as DE or swim bladder issue.

Totally depends on the ambient temperature of the room that the tank is in. In my basement, where the year round ambient temp is approx. 68F, a single 200W would not be enough. In a home that is typically 78F, 200W would be plenty good enough.
