thanks man, and yes, that is a blue-green tinge on the bowfin...the males get this, and it becomes particularly bright during spawning season. on this particular specimen it's been coming in stronger each year, he should be coloring up even more in the next couple months. great fish...definitely the aquatic equivalent of a dog --

thanks for the comments! i will have to get updated pics of these fishes and others sometime in the near future. the lungfish has grown a bit in the past 10 months (he's about 7 years old), and there are a couple new fishes added to the mix as well.--
