What do you mean, "a week after the Prime treatment?" Do you mean, you dosed once, and will leave it alone for a week? Or, you dose every day for a week?

You should be dosing every day of the week, maybe do half a dose in the morning, half a dose at night.

i dose it full base on the WC, im doing 3 WC 25% every other day
and half dose every night since my tank water is less than 86F with low chlorine and ammo

Try not to do water changes so often, rely on Prime. The more water you change, the longer it's going to take for your BB colony to grow to a suitable size.

tbh honest i dont want to do any WC if its avoidable LOL
for now i have to as thing gets better i will reduce the frequency of WC and also i do only minimal %

Bro, its supposed to be the other way around... You do minimal changes while your tank cycles, and then you do as many changes as you can once its established...

first of all i never ask for advice about raising my aro in this thread, i know i did ask about FX5 thats about it. then again im skipping the FX5, due to cannister style and im not risking my house from unattended leak.

i did take some of the advice from some members in here, most of them i ignored yes so what the problem is not mine as i never ask ur advice.
unfortunetely some of ur "advice" r generic which i already know..it might sounds arrogant to u flamers. but im doing it differently then last time i and we had our tank.

this thread is just a progress of my aro, no matter how i want it, its mine and my way..what if i did not post my obstacle here?
nothings matter right?

so far all the fish look healthy and do their fish thing and nothing out of ordinary, i think it would be best if u have nothing good/or constructive to say or cant take rejection well just back off my thread, find another thread..simple as that.
so far so good with my situation and im sure the water quality will be better within parameter within a week, till then do urself a favor and check ur water quality, its not might as healthy as think it is:)

lets review

my tanks all cycled before i added fish. current readings ammonia IS 0(i know its not ideal, but good enough, right?), nitrite IS 0(again not ideal), nitrite is 5ppm. tank is a 180gal with stock of a 23" silver ao(that i have had since it was 1.5"), 20" florida gar(that i have had since it was 6"), 14" endli bichir, 13" ornate bichir, 3x 10" sens, 14" south american lungfish and a large angel fish.

next tank 120gal with crappies and silver aro. ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate <5ppm.

next tank 55gal salt. heavy stock list including multipule triggerfish readings at ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 2ppm

next tank 20 gal growout. 2x 4" IT dats, sotted rapheal cat, peacock eel

i have lost some fish due to failed experiments, but not experiments that have been proven to be fails. i have had tsns grow from 3" to 24" in 6 months and an aro grow from 2-3" to 24"+ in 10 months. all were done in cycled tanks. know what i am doing, witch is something you don't. you attack my credibility for me pointing out that you fail to follow advise when it is given only for you to discover this info a week later "on your own". it is your way as you are doing it, but if you have the kinda money to throw around on fish that you don't care about i have to ask why you don't have the money to buy the min tank? if you cared at all you would have all the nessisary things you NEED to have done finished. not still after weeks dealing with ammonia problems. all you do is make yourself look dumber and dumber every time you post. why do it then? oh ya you want everyone to see all your "progress". don't forget to show the progresstion of your stupidity aswell. heres a chart of what we all see

#1 you got a fish tank

#2 you wanted an arowana

#3 you bought a tank bigger then a 20gal

#4 you got prime and started making water changes

all the lows are the rest of your "progress" along with your explaination of your "progress". when your progress dives with out rising is when you started saying that ammonia and nitrite are not a must have at 0, but it would be ideal. also your low chlorine, or is that ideal to see aswell:ROFL:

This is incorrect. Having a higher amount of ammonia does not make the beneficial bacteria grow any faster. The priority here should be the health of the fish and ammonia or nitrite levels need be kept under .25ppm. Prime should be used as a "band-aid" not a "cure all".
