The guy I got Inferno from showed me some trophies he won for first place in SoCal FH competitions, I want to check one out too when something like that is possible. Idon’t think Inferno will qualify because of hispsctoral fin deformity, but one of his kids could make an appearance some day

Lol yeah ik if (Jr.) Their father never would have scared his kok I wouldn't entered him into a competition but once he got that scar that kind of ended his show career before it even started lol. Ik for the longest time I thought that Big Bertha was a male until I eventually decided to vent her just to find out why my 2 females weren't breeding lol. It was such a huge facepalm moment once I found out I had been trying to breed 2 females together. Lol made so much sense tho on why they constantly wanted to fight eachother tho.

Didn’t think I’d have an update so soon, but the black pigments has shrunk to small barely noticeable melanophores.

Offsprings would sure be interesting, I think it would be mix of shapes, some might get kamfa shape, some parrot and some zz.

It gets tricky to predict the ratio without any breeding experience (that I lack) but generally it's a mixed bag. Flowerhorns are parrot x trimac x red devil and parrots are midas x vieja. I think most offsprings would be kamfa shaped as more vieja blood gets added to the mix here.

I’m not sure if these photos show it, but Inferno is putting on some great size!!!

He has some imperfections so he won’t ever be a competition fish, but hopefully some day he produces some amazing fry.

His color development has been incredible, and I just started adding freeze dried shrimp to his diet, and will add frozen shrimp to the mix too.
