Yeah I'm feeding them a bit of that now and again, however Brine Ship is supposed to have a similar quality, I heard.

These guys will be going into 100 gallon talk soon to grow them on... I'll hope to get a 6 to 8 strong breeding group from those to house in my 8ft 300 gallon tank planned for the new year.

I was looking in a petshop the other day at a group of similar sized FMs... what poor looking fish they were... (they only arrived in the tank the week before) Their eyes were massive and their bodies were no where near as full and chunky as my guys... Cant wait to see what these little beasts will grow into. The little punks are already sparing and acting like Firemouths

I love this thread and meekis in general so I figured i would give the other fm lovers out there a heads up... Rapps has f1 juvies for sale.closest to wild ive ever seen.
 
I'd be interested in getting some of them... Whats their catchment area, do you know? Any pics?

Check his website.. tangledupincichlids he has pics and collection area. I just don't remeber off the top of my head.

Ah just did.... Thorichthys meeki 'Perdida'.....

The reference pic shows a nice looking FM but maybes not as much red in as the 'Rio Grijalva' meekis (ref page 10 on this thread).
