Got the bottom sanded, sealed with black paint and ready to go. Just waiting for it to dry so I can finish the top side. Im at the tail end of my quart of black paint, if I only do the top it will barely be enough. If I need to add anything or touch up, I will need more paint.

The 46 gallon bowfront should have a much bigger presence than the 30 gallon.

The idea is to keep the arrowhead puffer in there still but trying for a major rescape. Probably live plants and change out large mopani stump with some more elongated branches extending from the top. Just depends on what woods I can find.

I do have this piece I can work with:

It looks good as is to me, but the bow front will add more of a 3d look.

I like your shelving system & I think I'm going to go with it myself for my fw puffer area. The pet rock looks happy.

Thanks, I really like the look of it in my garage. The “pet rock” is the best description of this puffer! This is the main reason I want to do this as a planted tank. It just gives it a focal point to look at as you sit at the table or walk into the garage. Otherwise it will be real boring! Lol

update pic, background installed, waiting on new heater before setting it up

Made recent changes to the puffers tank.

Removed the larger sponge intake and installed an Aquarium Co-Op Medium that fits right on intake tube.

When I did this it exposed the heater cord and the little guy could not resist, lol. Chew, chew, chew

Thankfully I was prepared for this since it wasnt the first time this guy went at a cord. I used some plastic spiral electrical cord wrap.

The new 46g bowfront will also get the heater cord guard. I am using a different heater on this tank.

Got top cut for filter. I will say Aqueon does make great glass tops for their tanks. Nice thick glass.

Tank in place

Much better scale with this tank. Will get it set up today but will still need to do the aqua-scape.

Update on the puffer home. Well the pet rock in the 46 bowfront drove me nuts. Walk into the fish and the first thing you see is nothing, lol. So I set it up as a planted community tank instead.

So where did the puffer end up?

I really did not plan for another tank but that’s basically what happened. I set up the puffers old 30 gallon below the 46 bowfront and he is back in there. This was a setup pic so things were still getting completed.

This morning after water changes watched the lights come on and realized that I want the puffer to have a matching light and timer set up. Got it ordered today.

Forgot to add, after the move my arrowhead decided to go on a hunger strike. Wont take his night crawler worms right now so I got a few feeder guppies in the tank with him to see if it triggers any feeding.
