It not nerdy at all in my opinion and is very enjoyable. Plus people in belgium, germany, and the Netherlands take it really seriously . I swear all the tanks i've seen are all great from those people.

im a total dork and have no social life at all... thank god i rediscovered fishkeeping...

total ditto on that bro:)

Like everything, as long as you enjoy it, that's what matters. Mind you when you have monster fish like large cats, aros and rays and more that are common on this site, it blows a lot of peoples minds anyway.

Oh yeah i'm a dork/nerd too, forgot to mention that but it's not because of fishkeeping.

I don't think fishkeeping is that nerdy, people who are serious about any hobby are nerdy in their own way, and some are much nerdier than fishkeepers

I strongly disagree. Fish keeping is far from nerdy. Lots of celebrities keep fish tanks. I (although not exactly a celebrity) keep a 10 gallon tank in my dorm room and lots of people love to come in and see it.

i think talking about it sometimes sounds nerdy...i just dont say anything and when they go in my room and see my monster tank they dont seem to think so lol

i think the discussion is about serious mfk'ers and people like that, not some rich guy who pays people to take care of a huge fish tank in their mansion
