I think PS3 move has two controllers you have to hold, Kinect uses motion detection.

It's kind of amusing how Nintendo has started trying to be unique, Sony has started trying to be like Nintendo, and Microsoft has started trying to be like Sony...

^^ and if anyone's wondering, I'm referring to how Nintendo came out with the Wii, then immediately after, Sony started developing a nearly identical feature for their system, and now Microsoft has come out with their own more unique motion-based gaming system, but they also made the system itself look more like a PS3... It's like an adults' version of follow the leader...
 
I would personally choose Xbox over PS3. The only thing that would sway me is the Blu-Ray and GT5. I dont mind paying a few bucks a month for better online gaming (Although I'm sure people will disagree with it being better). I personally love the controller and way more of my friends have it than PS3.

You should just see what your friends have since its always more fun to play online with friends. Both consoles are awesome though so you cant go wrong.

Basically, but as someone else has already said, there are a few console-specific games for each system (the main two being the Halo series for 360 and Gran Turismo 5 for PS3). IMO, the console-specific's for the 360 are better than those for the PS3, but that just comes down to personal preferrence.

And although many PS3 owners will dispute the part about the online gameplay, I've never talked to an owner of both consoles who has preferred the PS3 for online...
 
guess i will be going with the PS3 not only cause almost everyone voted for it over the XBOX (lol to the person who voted for the wii/DSI) but because of the games, free online and blu-ray. basically the same/only reasons people prefer ps3 over xbox lool
