Purple algae that mbuna will eat.

Purple algae growing under LED reef lights.
Note the huge ball of green turf algae. It has grown quite abit. It is from some pulverized prices off my algae scrubber.
Some short green hair algea. Well manicured from grazing mbuna.

The 24" Led light, grows mostly green. The white, side died off. From lack of light. Only a little brown algae remains.
The dominant predator. The sun fish is much braver than any mbuna.
I shuffled the back drop. Mostly because the lighting was causing a dead spot.
I also added about 8 juvenile pseudo trophus, from the grow out tank.
Got a few pieces of holey rock to put in also.
Green algae is dominate with LED lighting.
Have about 30 mbuna, mixed sexes.
Dominant yellow lab keeps the younger males in check.
Dominant blue trophus is the maternal mother of them all. I have 10 males to 3 females. Surprisingly peaceful still.
Good Morning, They are all hiding in the habitat. They are all staring out the front glass in the evenings. They don't like to wake up at 5am.
They also seem to have no territory. When the lights come on I find a mixed group almost cuddling.
Added some holey rock. The blue pseudo trophus, have moved out from the back. To take up new territory, that they can swim under.
