Question: Cycling a tank?

Urine contains very low amounts of useable ammonia. Read up bro. Splurge and buy the pure ammonia :)

why, like i said i dont use chems on any tank i set up its not natural, put the fish straight in and if they die then thats the way it is its not like you cant go buy some more is it, especially if they are new fish and your not that attached to them, i done the same with me rbp's but i know from experiance with them that they a very hardy fish and love the fresh clean water so why cant that apply to any hardy fish of any species? it can so i do:headbang2
 
I got confused you got your priorities straight. Its anyone considering urinating in their tank that needs to splurge on pure ammonia

Fishless cycling isnt the only way. I used fish to cycle many times with success. But since your talking about peeing in the tank maybe you need to take a look at how "Natural" your tank really is. Given your post I figured since he wants to pee in the tank it seems he has taken the fishless cycling route. In which case the only way to go is to buy the pure ammonia. ok i think you must have misunderstood my post, i didnt say i piss in my tank but i did say a dude at a lfs i just found said it was ok to do so but i highly disagree, and if any1 wants to piss in there tank well thats upto them but no freaking way would i do it lol lol im not being nasty dude it just doesnt seem natural to use chems or piss in ur tank i prefer the normal natural way thats all :D

just done a water test and heres the results after just 2 days of the tank being setup......

Amonia=0.25ppm
Nitrite=0ppm
PH level=7.0
Nitrate=40ppm

now bearing in mind its all natural, no chems and no piss :ROFL::ROFL:
i will do another test in a day or so and quote on these results, hopefully by then the amonia level should have dropped, i will do a small water change the night before too ;)
