Sure do,
I have a 240 with a Hybrid UGF and two Whole house filters that has been up and running for 30 + years.
In the interest of fair reporting I am about to reverse the flow to reduce gravel vacs. :)

I don't want to derail Anglers thread but I am interested in seeing this set up? Can you PM a link or send pics? It sounds different and I like that!

EDIT: (I called you out for using dawnmarie's Avatar, good thing I read sig's lol :D my bad)

I think I'm gonna go with either:

2 fx5s and an xp3
or 1 fx5, 1 eheim 2260, and an xp3.

Or just leave the xp3 out....

Ok - I am ordering the tank today:headbang2

I am going without overflows and gonna use canisters.

Right now, I am leaning towards an Eheim 2260 and an FX5 (I have an XP3 already that I will probably throw on there). I decided this instead of two FX5s because of the large capacity of the 2260, and I'm going to pack a bunch of bio in it.

Does anyone have a link for the best price for either the Eheim 2260 or the FX5? I have been doing my own searching on the net, but if anyone has a link to a good price that I may have not found, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I've read that FX5s do not come with media. Do 2260s come with any media at all?

bro fx5s all the way
if it was me
id do 2 fx5s
one eheim 2075 for bio

Yeah, I was thinking a fx5 and a 2260 just because the 2260 has such a larger media capacity. I don't want to deal with gloomy water due to not enough bio. If you guys think I will have enough bio capacity with 2 FX5s and my XP3, then I will go that route because it is cheaper.

2 fx5s and a xp3 would handle that no problem
i have 2 on my 200 with the 2075
, i know im overstocked but its pefect!
my LFS has a 375 with 6 silver arowana ON ONE fx5! i was shocked to see the water crystal clear

Thanks for the input man. I also read that FX5s are easier to maintain than 2260s because there is no disconnect valve that comes with the 2260.
