p.s so its like 35-40 cm wide right?

hurray just got my new fx5! I set it up, but it makes a lot of rattling noise, anyone know how I can eliminate this?

You set the filter up wrong, the is air still trapped inside, you can gently rock the filter back and forth to force some air out(did for me). Or you will have to read the manual and set it up properly.

I followed the instructions lol trust me, but then again, i rocked it and i know it was the impeller that was making the noise, so I followed instructions and yeah the motor thing was dirty so I cleaned it, now I put it in its not as loud but still loud, i thought it was supposed to be quiet :/

btw yeah I tried rocking it

Ya mine is silent! Did you fill it with tank water before plugging it in? Cause it needs some water in it to get things going.

This is a new fx5 and also yes i filled it with 8 liters of water like in the instructions

P.S i will call their customer support tomorrow when they are open

called support they said it shudn't be that noisy so i'll go to the store and replace the motor! will update if it is quiet

Keep us posted PK! I kinda wonder what the store will do. I hope they change out the unit instead of giving you a bunch of lip service.
