To answer your pm, of that kink of tape to use..., and since you like to be very thurough... i wounk almost every kind of tape there is...
and here is a review of how well they will work...
1) Lime green contact paper tape(automotive purposes)****3M OR SCOTCH BRAND ONLY****, this stuff is sticky and holds well, i rate it at *#2*, because its not the absolute strongest but its easy to remove.
2) DARK Blue painters tape, this is desinged for use on glass, for painting, but it holds well, i rate it at #4
3) Tuck tape for insulation... this is the Shiznit... its by far the stickyest thing there is in terms of tape thats removable..., you can find it in the insulation isle.... I rank this at #1
4) white tape, regular masking tape... it ranks in at #5, its not as sticky and doesnt hols as well as the other masking tapes, but if this is all you have it will very well do the job...
5) GOOD 3M duct tape, a good one is worth its weight in gold and costs more then $1. more like $6-$10, it is strong as hell but i always find that it leaves a film behind and it might just be too stick for the job, i rate it at #3 because it is better then the blue stuff, but not as good as the green...
6) i put this in just for fun, dont use packing tape..., just dont, im not rating this cuz its crap...
7)this is light green masking tape, used my panzies when painting, its weak and doesnt rip the paint off the wall... also not rated... do not use...
8) there is a dark green, like a hunter green, this is crap too. dont use it...
REMEMBER, USE ***3M*** OR ***SCOTCH*** BRAND ONLY, If you go near a doller store i WILL FIND YOU!!!

and make you thats the only place to buy it, the green is avalable at some walmarts, lowes, home depot(where i bought mine from last, but this stuff i just grabbed from work...) automotive(bodyshop) suply stores..., its really good for this thing...
I got quite a bit cuz i might be getting a bunch of tanks from a buddy on the weekend, like 5-6 including a nice 90 corner tank so im planing on just resealing them, they have been empty for about a year ot two now, maybe even take them apart and make a biger one...?
