Quick I think it is a parasite that has entered my tank through the Petco angelfish. All the fish in the tank looked healthy when I bought them, the angels and 2 b rams. It started when I noticed one angelfish would be swimming normally and then all of a sudden just twitch and swim erratically, it would basically shake its rear end and swim in an unnatural way, might be a weird analogy but kind of when your peeing in the morning and get that quiver. The angelfish is now lying horizontally on the surface of the tank with a cloudy eye. I just watched my severum do the same spasm thing. Please help should I move my fish to a separate tank, buy meds? If I do have to buy meds I might have to order them on amazon.
Edit - the angelfish lying horizontally - his pectoral fins are still moving in a normal pattern.
Also all of this seems to have happened after i dosed 2ml of liquid carbon, first time and I only used enough for 10 gallon since I only had one plant.
yes
Its like co2 but in liquid form. I do have an airstone in the tank currently and the hob filter is producing decent sized bubbles. The angels eyes are starting to cloud up what should I do? please help. Should I change the temp, what is this in my tank?
Oh ok, like Excel? Personally I would do a water change right away. Never used liquid carbon but that may be affecting the fish. I think I read somewhere that it may reduce oxygen in the water but I could be mistaken. Hopefully someone who has used it will chime in. Sorry I'm not much help.
