Two thirds of the posts on this thread are absolute garbage.

+1 to the viewing window statement about plywood tanks.

Didn't take long for the "holier than thou" posts to begin.

There's nothing more "holier than thou" then someone posting about how everyone's "holier than thou". It presents your own judgement while berating others for theirs which makes you hypocritical. Now be glad that your problematic post was left alone and watch what you say from now on as if you find yourself in violation of TOS again in an attempt to stroke your ego, you'll receive exactly what your actions are asking for.

And what exactly are you contributing? If someone is a member of a community called monster fish keepers, they should already know these options for keeping monster fish which is what I was pointing out. If you are a member of this community, you should also know the potential size and growth rate of your fish and choose their housing accordingly which is what koltsixx was saying. And if you have the diy skills to build a plywood aquarium you could certainly put in more than one window as gill blue said.

His whole post is weird and amateurish which would lead one to the conclusion that he's either trolling or looking to increase post count. I think his pink name could tip you off to that.
Thanks man for the support, though I doubt your clarification will go heeded.

You're implying nobody could find this thread via a Google search, having not been a part of this community. You're also implying that new people don't join the forum on a daily basis.

Lots of people don't know this simple information and it could be useful to some. Your attack on the OP is of use to nobody.

There was no attack on the OP, different opinions aren't an attack, nor are facts.

Fact someone who is responsible doesn't buy an animal without making sure they can meet it's needs.
Fact it happens that some people change and become more responsible.
Fact it helps no one, not the animal or the owner to promote not researching first, the primary objective of any thread hoping to teach something should be proactive first and foremost not reactive.
Fact just because that's true it doesn't mean a thread like this is useless.
Fact just because someone states that proactive should take priority over reactive doesn't mean they're implying the thread is useless.

Next time you want to have a "holier than thou" back and forth try dealing in facts instead of what if's and your own assumptions while insulting people because you're overly sensitive and take people saying it as it is as an attack. An attack is unwarranted demeaning of someone else, not disagreeing or having a different view nor not understanding the point of a thread.

Lets not recommended kiddie pools. Many come with chemical treatments for algea.

Kiddie pools can be toxic, but I recall when I would google info on a fish and be lead to this forum. No real way to tell how many people are reading what's posted or what they find helpful. I would hope a member of the forum would be able to house any fish they purchased for the long term but someone who is frantically googling the cool new fish they just picked up may need this thread to save their fish and their wallet!
