Rainbow Snakehead

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldnt recommend it,that company will probably stress all the color if not the life off the rainbow, besides being warmer than is good for them.
Get a separate tank without heating and get a small group by themself, then both you and the fish will enjoy it better :)

is the rainbow snakehead another name for the blue blerehi

HI,

rainbow snakehead is the english name for Channa bleheri, the "blue bleheri" (stupid trade name) is correctly called sp. Assam, until its scientifiv´cally described.
These two are differengt fish

Cheers

Easiest way to tell what you have is to look at the caudalfin,if it got red or orange spots it is a "real" bleheri, the Blue bleheri or sp. assam dont have those as you can see on Bruckis pics above

lol thanks

oh well i guess ill engoy him more if he takes longer to grow.

Thanks
Matt

Dont worry about how long its taking for him to grow as they only get to about 7 " if that, so it will take a long time for him to reach a good size. I have a blue blerehi myself which is very similar to the rainbow snakehead and is probably only a bit bigger than yours

HI,

if its the first pic, you dont have "blue bleheri" , you have the REAL bleheri
