cross, are you yet to decide if you are buying him yet?

I am pretty sure I am buying him now. I don't know though because I have some bill debts to pay off like my loan for my car and I have insurance payments due. Mind you I am 16 so money is not that stable. I do have 1200 saved up but I was planning to pay off my car with that. Plus I still have to save for college in 2 years so... it is still a 50 50 chance I am buying him unless I get him for christmas :D:headbang2:headbang2.

Please keep in mind guys that the picture that is posted of the beani doesn't neccessarily mean its the one being sold. Chances are thats a generic photo that he took a long time ago...;). Either way, I am surprised to see that Rapps is selling it for that little, I woulda though it would be in the four digit #s easily. Great deal...;)

No doubt someone will pony up the money. I sold my large male Dovii for a few hundred dollars more than that...and of course Cichlid Scene's Umbee went for five grand.

Here's a really poor photo of a beani from the same locale...Rio Tepec.

The other variant that is in the Senora Desert Museum come from the Yakqui River system.

Well put? Aw, Ok. He then says he sold a festae for $400 but didn't see the value in a Beani. He apparently has the loose change if he's if pulling $400 for a festae. Well put.

I would say eventually may be fairly quickly. I believe he probably has a pair and I heard Rusty Wessel may also. The price could come down if their are some spawnings.

like i said... it's all about perceived value by the person...
if he sold his festae for $400, more power to him. but that doesn't necessarily mean he would spend all of it on more fish, right? also, it was the buyer of the festae who felt it was worth forking out the $400 for the festae, and it had nothing to do with barton. am i not correct?

in any case, back to the topic - beautiful fish. someone will take him. and i know at the end of the day we all wish it was us ;)

Its simple economics, its worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Look at some of these athletes, they are being paid millions of dollars to throw or kick a ball around. A good example is Alex Rodriguez, I heard on the radio he was going to be paid 200+ million dollars over 10 years, that is f*cken ridiculous, but there are people willing to pay that much for him. So Rapps will definitely get the five bills for him. done.

Actually, the picture is of the exact fish he is selling. Many times the pics are generic, but not in this case.
