Hi,
Unfortunately my camera died so I don't have any from Sept & Oct. These are from tonight. I picked up a Sony DSC-50H and have been playing around with it the past couple of days. He's 7" now, from nose to tail and colored up nicely. Jeff truely has excellent stock, I couldn't be happier. I'm feeding him NLS Thera+A, Cichlid BioGold as a staple and Massivore as a treat.

Let me know what you think:)

I was wondering what happened to your Trimacs -- that male is stunning! I think I can see a very beautiful fish developing in him, the yellow in him will start getting more prominent as he ages.

Well, his sister killed two of them by picking off the weakest ones at night. I kept her for a while and she was mean as h*ll. I gave her to a friend in NY before she was the only one I had left She's still kicking *ss from what he tells me. Lost two more to aggression and two to an electrical problem in my basement.

So you don't have a female right now? My female was very similar to yours until the male passed her in size, and then he went nuts. They haven't yet bred for me -- though Reagan (another member from the board) who is keeping them while I move this month, has already had success in spawning them.

You can maybe think about keeping him as a show fish (w.o. female) -- no bruises and all his trailing fins intact :)

I wish I could see more members keeping Trimacs, I personally think they are the most beautiful fish in Amphilophus family (maybe tied with Amarillo!).

I got a Trimac too but his middle spots are up to close to his dorsal fins instead of lateral line. It might be a fault if I was ever to show him but he's still a show piece.

Judging from your Midas, I would say you should show the Trimac more :)

Nice trimac. I'm a fan of them as well.

mad about cichlids hows mac doing good for you i hope, i was at ashop isold some fry too and they have one of his sons that has awesome fins and the perfect three spot pattern i may have to go pick this guy up . love trimacs

Nice. You did a great job raising him.

Holely crap man! I gotta say I though maybe you stole my fish! LOL Mine resembles you'res sooo much! I gotta get a pic up.

Looks fantastic man. :headbang2

Very nice, I love Trimacs. Personally I've not had luck raising one into adulthood. I've tried several times and they get themself killed by the time they hit 6-7".

Awesome fish Demetrios... ya ever think about getting him a girlfriend?... lol

Thats a big fish after 7 months! I wish my green terror would grow that fast.

Great color too.
