Demetrios,

Do you still have the big male I gave you in the summer? How is he doing? Check out this male I have now. Still not as nice as the one I gave you!

Yiassou,

That guy is really nice. I saw the pair on Aquabid but kept forgetting to shoot you a message.

The one you gave me was terrific and doing great. A true monster:) Unfortunately, one day I came home from work only to find him bloated like a balloon. Not sure what happened since he was jumping out of the water in the morning when I fed him and all was fine. Water parameters were good and no signs of anything before this. REALLY sucked since he was such a beast.

Good to see you on here!!!

That's too bad about the other male, but it happens. That's a beautiful male you got from Jeff. If he's from the pair he has right now he is going to be a monster. Nicest Trimacs I've seen in a while! Good luck. Always a pleasure to see these pure Trimacs around.

A trimac was my second cichlid when I started fish keeping. Now I have a FH. It's all good that you like trimacs. But FHs are FHs, and trimacs are trimacs. It's funny what you guys say, because youre either denying the beauty of the FHs, or have not seen anything much with your newbie eyes.

To each his own.

Trimacs are awesome. It doesn't take a "newbie" to see that. BTW, i'm not a newbie either. Don't judge my experience by my post count bud;)

Thanks. It's been great watching him grow from a tiny 1" fish.

I personnaly think that the most fun of it all! Watching them grow from such a small size to a monster!

What size tank do you have him in?

He's in a 72g bow front. Not his permanent home but it's in our living room for everyone to enjoy him. I have a 150 in my basement he'll have to himself eventually.

Had to bump this up! Beauty he is! You really should put that new camera to work and post more photos! I also picked up a couple Trimacs from Rapps a couple of months ago and just threw them in a pond..... got around to fishing them out just the other day! Boy, they've grown but unfortunately the female is larger than the male as of now..... they're showing nice color and aggression at 3"!

This thread almost makes me wish I had gotten one instead of a carpintis. We'll see how he turns out though. :)
