they are virtually never caught at the lake , and remain one of the rarest of african cichlids , this info came straight from stuart grant before he sadly passed away

The factor that's more important than what's rare and expensive is the demand for the fish (if selling the offspring is the focus).

There are some really hard to collect, really ugly cichlids that a handful of people in the world would be willing to pay tons of money for...but your LFS and 99% of hobbyists would take for free.

F1 Fronts are a reliable money-maker.
 
Tropheus moori 'bemba' seem to be uncommon but not yoo exspensive..probs about £22.50 for a 4-6 inch fish
