Doesn't really explain the insane collections of rare fish in Europe, although it is true that Asian cultures put more value towards fish. To them, it's a lot more than just a pet.

asian way of life says ".... try to put the elements of the nature into your house to keep ur life balance...."

in my country they're so many collectors that collect many rare fish, tortoises, plants, rocks, etc. And it can cost per item, more than thousands dollar !

Although in other way, it also shows how "far" they succeed in life.

quite different from yours, rite ?? (collect the technology-stuff: cars, electronics, etc.) ? hehehe

yaa you always see asian arowana go for thousands its crazy. it would just be nice to see someone bring some really rare cichla to the US and see what happens.
