i doubt the hyacynth will grow under the reg ol lights... but water lettuce will and so will eloda

they won't i have tried it in my pond. Pothos will.. But they are not as good at hyacynth.

Ray is still breathing hard and refusing food. Very active though. Been doing 50% wcs daily. No salt added last night. Entire basement is dark. The single Dorado in there was noticeably more active this morning.

Been adding stability w/ the WCs.

Maybe I should cut back to 30%s?

IF I can get my drip system figured out I'd just throw that on there.

what cant you get figured out

How many/which kind of filters I can trust to get ALL the chlorine out.

Waiting to hear back from municiple water dept on some things as well too....

It's set up and I had it running last night/today, but have to get some Chlorine tests to be sure the 1 cheap filter is working. May have to add more or get "the filter guy" ones.

ic... dont really know what to tell you on that. all i know is i have the one from the filter guys. been runing it on my 125 and 150 for probly a year or so.

i would just play it safe... get the dosing system neoprodigy uses...

Sure, I'll just get a few Ultima bead filters too while I'm at it. :ROFL:Not all of us in this hobby have that kinda $ to throw around. I know I sure as hell don't.

My water supplier has allready said they have NEVER used chloramine and have no plans whatsoever for any future use.

I'll figure it out, I just figured with as easy as everyone makes them sound that it would be easy to find answers to questions. Oh well, learn by doing right?

I run through 1 1-micron sediment filter and 2 carbon filters that use to be part of my r/o system so they aren't very big and I do around 150-200 gallons a day with no issues. I replace my sediment filter every 10 days and my carbons every month.
On the incoming line I use a pressure reducer from 40 psi to 25 psi and on the outgoing I reduce down to 1/4 inch tubing and put a drip adapter on used for irragation systems. The pressure reducer and drip adapter I got at home depot in there yard irragation section.
The r/o system was a coralife pureflo 2 with 3 filters but you could use any type of house filter the same size and series them together.
I also run a mix of hot and cold through there to keep the water temp up. Works good in my 850 gallon system. I have one 300 watt heater in there to balance. Gas is cheaper than electricity for me when I'm heating my tanks.

dosing pump is like 200$ ask mike @ h2o what he uses... its like powered prime....

if not 1 sediment and 2 carbon blocks would be good... if you want extra protection add a 4th filter with granulated carbon
