is there really one? ive been contemplating this for a few days now. im shooting for a 900 gallon tank sometime in the future which will be 10x4x3 for multiple rays (motoro and leo's hopefully), and wanting to know what stocking would be appropriate, and if the tank size is ok. i was ballparking at around 6.

thanks

6 rays be perfect.... really depends more on filtration and when you actually get the tank.. all depends you could maybe do up to 8 rays maybe more... all depends..

well itll have to be overfiltered, pretty much the rays be the only things in the tank. my only concern is that the more rays i have, the more itll cost to feed them. at 8 rays, around 5k a year?

well if you got the $$$$ to fork out for that tank..... feeding costs shouldnt be a real problem...your looking at a very expensive tank... expensive filtration(even if DIY)...

Wow, I only pay $4/16 oz, besides that, a pound a day for 6 rays!

Basically, just letting Nitro know that feeding is not that expensive, heat and electric is what is gonna be the problem with a 900 gal, plus quality pumps/filtration.

it all depends on the size of the rays too... im planning on having 6 or 7 adults in a 8 x 4 footprint, but they r gonna be packed and my filtration is overkill. a 900 u could deff do around 10 rays.

i buy smelt in large boxes, which only turns into a couple hundred $ a year in food.

heating in the winter is whats gonna kill your wallet :irked:
