Rays for a 310 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
options for that tank... Hystrix.. retic.. Red retic... marbles (mini specific) for life _ DIDYSIS DIDYSIS breeds mantillas that purportedly stay fairly small (probably hystrix and marble blood in there that helps with that)... a male of most any of the blacks will work for life in a 3foot tank (feel free to blast me but it is true)- as far as getting rays... if your LFS does not specialize in rays dont buy from them. DIDYSIS DIDYSIS vamptrev vamptrev spotfin spotfin C CODISCUS all are reputable breeders that are active on the forum with various species... and I actually think D Discus Origins has wild minis as we speak and is a vendor here.

I would say you could keep a male black ray in there for life. My males are only 15" wide. I used to keep them in a 30" wide tank... Forget about a female though lol

Forums are for advice. An easy way to learn from others experience. The problems arise when people don't like the advice they receive. IF they aren't willing to accept the advice then why bother asking in the first place?

What are u talking about ?..... I only mentioned a few rays I thought would fit for him .... You mentioned a large Motorola that smothered 20 plus pups and all I said was not everyone's going to have a motoro that big and all of a sudden u go off.....

Anyways pedatorkeeper87 good luck on your search

DB junkie my apologizes if the rays I listed were off but with my experience I said the motoros would be fine in that tank for a few years.... I then realized he said for life .....you seem to know your fish but being arrogant in your fish keeping abilities and calling others out won't help others

Arrogant? He gives advice not to start flaming others but because he loves what he does. I'll be honest I would have ignored you a long time ago and let you try to figure out how to do stuff on your own. Look at his old threads he knows what he's doing and is probably one of the most dedicated hobbiest on the sight. He's one of few people In today's world in which he learned from his past. He's tiered of the people spreading false information about the fish he has spent thousands of dollars on and given up so much of his life to.

So yeah let's hear your experience and credentials.

Calling me out for no reason is arrogant and I never said he was wrong and never doubted his so called .Credentials ...... read what I posted earlier in the thread and tell me if I was saying he was wrong?....

Where did I say this?.......

I merely stated that not everyone will have a huge motoro that will mother 20+ pups...... Which is 100% true ..... Never said he was wrong .....
