Couldn't I just add onto my sump?
(Another product of an over-active imagination.)

hey, ive been doing some research, have you thought of adding a deep sand filter, refugium type setup to your primary ray tank.... i was thinking anything big, but if you get a 20gal or so tuberware container, fill it up with 5-6in or sand, put some plants, snails and tubifex worms in it, it should effectivley remove nitrates and ammonia in your tanks. In addition if your power went out, you could do water changes from the water in this container.
heres an article about them... just incooperate it into you filter lines maybe.
Just a thought

"freckles" dropped 2 pups for me last night!

I'm almost certain that these come from the hybrid father, there is already some marbling type patterns showing between the spots.

b-e-a-utiful.... wow mike things are really coming together

In that respect, yes they are... The ray project is going awesome.

I need to get rid of these stupid egg tumblers though...they are still costing me a lot of losses on the eggs. As soon as I get some money in my PayPal account, I'm ordering a real hatching jar and setting up a new hatchery tank with a UV sterilizer.

Looks like Im driving out to NY this month. gonna meet up with some peeps, see my brother, and check out H2O... Can't wait, but I won'tr be able to stay long unfortunately.

Unfortunately, no...I have 4 rays going to New Hampshire, so that would just be too much travel. That could be another trip.. ;)

Mike,

Just read all 52 pages of the post (would have taken less time to read in a blog format but I digress). Amazing work you're doing! Good luck!
