RB Piranha

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well yeah it is, but appearently that's what they cost in his area. Unless he's ordering or finds another source, there is nothing you or I can do & arguing over the internet, won't solve anything.

true but we're here to share experiences and through our collection of experiences we should know by now that 6 in a 65 is not good advice.

piranhas can always turn on each other at any point regardless of tank size, size differences and feeding schedules but there's no point of forcing a territorial dispute by putting them in a confined space at their most cannibalistic stage.

most experiences also say that 3 red belly piranhas together are rather boring and not very interactive but larger shoals are much more active. My advice to everyone is to get the largest tank you can and aim for 1 per 20 gallon unless you're looking at tanks larger then 125, then i'd consider overstocking

Edit: hahaha, i accidently said 20 per gallon again!

Good point(s) I am by no means an expert with the genus. Like you said, it's advice based on experience. It is also true that a shoal shows some of the more desirable aspects of the species. So I will not argue there.

Might want to check shipping cost before committing. When I ordered RPB the shipping was as much as the fish.
