The thermometer in my heaters must be inaccurate. I set the heaters to 75 and then I noticed one of them turn on.. It's 80 degrees in the tank. Ha. So I turned the knob down more and it has not come on yet. The tank temp should lower now a little. On the bright side, I cut up a couple small pieces of Tilapia this morning and they eat some of it. But then I noticed something for the first time... There is 1 out of the 6 piranhas that seems to be the "alpha male" and is VERY aggressive. He would hover right over the food and if any of the other piranahas would come near it he would instantly bolt right at them and attempt to bite them. He seems very protective of the food. Interesting..

Yea, rb piranhas stay a pack meaning they have hierarchy within the group, there's always a leader with the others on the flanks, when one eats they all eat, lower temps make them less aggressive, higher temps make then more aggressive, same general rule applies to most fish. Thermometers and the thermostats in heaters aren't that accurate, just a general temp. Stay at 75 and they should calm down a little, also bright lite will make them more skiddish to so try and dim it, maybe place the lite higher or turn off a bulb.

its been 8 days now since I brought them home and they have barely eaten. They have once ate a couple times. They are becoming more and more aggressive toward each other. Temp is at 76 now from 80. Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10.0 PH is around 7.6. They all have signs of biting. Chunks from fins missing, one of the little ones has is left side fin gone. Bite marks on the side of a few of them. Im getting worried.. Why are they not eating? Tried, shrimp, bloodworms, beefheart, Tilapia and NLS pellets. Like I said, they have eaten a couple times not not much at all. Jeuvenilles should eat nearly twice a day i heard. They have eaten maybe 3-4 times total since I brought them home 8 days ago. What can I do?
