Real or Fake

live has more benefits for the tank such as putting oxygen in for stock and removing nitrates but it is hard to take care of... more maintenance... pruning and adding ferts.... all in all i prefer live plants

i thought fake ones was ok until i saw a planted tank so all i get now are real plants and now i fight my jd all the time lol

I use real plants only. If the tank can't have real plants, I just don't have plants.

i prefer live plants but will admit that i do have fake plants in my 29g almost reef and my 20L. hey scans, what size tank is that? it looks really cool, although i think the koi/discus combo is odd and probably not to healthy for the koi.

Real ones look much better than fake ones, hands down.

Now about plants: I like real plants, but since my barbs will eat all of the live plants I put in there, I'm sticking w/ fake ones for my 100G.

There is nothing unhealthy about that koi. Growing like a weed, fat as can be, and fantastic color.

SCANS both pictures look great, well done, the black gravel makes it look alot better to veiw then if it was a lighter colour in my opinion.

Thanks.... The black gravel allows the light to reflect better off the inhabitants. They seem to pop out much better!

fake plants are so obvious. Anybody with any fish or plant knowledge can spot the fake ones in a second. I keep things natural and plastic doesn't occur naturally.
