There are two problems with your arguement, for one thing, it actually supports my arguement of what the probable distribution of the traits of both species would be if mermaids did exist, and platypusses have traits of multiple other animals, they aren't EXACTLY like one species in one half of their body and EXACTLY like another on the other half. No matter how many attempts you make at defending the theory of mermaids' existence, I can guarantee you that none of them will ever serve as any kind of substantial evidence, so this is a pointless arguement that you will inevitably be on the losing end of. I'm actually not sure why I'm even participating in such a rediculous arguement, but oh well, it isn't like I have anything better to do
