Hello, I may be re-thinking my decision on a black piranha and go with red belly piranhas, I wanted to ask you guys everything I will need to know, also if they breed what should I do with the eggs, I do not know where to sell them at. Also I am planning on not getting a tank bigger than 100 gallons, so how many can live their whole lives in 100 us gallons comfortably? I was also wondering if I got one piranha and kept it with my Oscar, would they get along their whole lives together? One more thing, are piranhas very hardy fish?

Piranha live alone, it will kill your oscar if he isn't oscar bite size. 100g is too small for more than 1 red belly really, get a lone caribe red belly. Very aggressive and not shy like natteri.
There are small Serra, probably be a better choice.

Could you list off a few of the best Serrasalmus species that could live it's whole life in a 100gallon?

My favorites would be Ruby red Spilo, Gold spilo, Or perhaps elongatus. A Rhom would outgrow a 100. Another couple of choices would be a Sanchezi or an irritans. Irritans max out at about 6", so a 100 would quite spacious for such a fish. I keep one in a 75. Do your research, and please remember that all of these species can live for more than 10 years.
