Red dovii??? (Xanthic dovii)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When it comes to fading put your major aside. Because thats no experience in fish with that..

Keep some fader fish instead.
this dovii got red freckles now because those freckles were black before. After fading, those black freckles become like that. All black pigments gone but the density of freckles stay.

Not saying hybrid or not but it dont look like any other besides a fader Dovii..

These are the kinds of fish we need testing on.

I have kept and bred devils, and have raised parrots and red mammons from fry (through the fading processe) so yes I believe that fading is not apart if the parachromis species since none of them do it. For instance the gold jags are gold from the start they don't fade gold

People just guess and that is why. The truth is they don't know. I wish more people would take basic biology classes to better understand this stuff. Xanthic fish are real, and dovii are no exception. Look at xanthic jags. They aren't hybrids. There are many morphs and genetic variations that occur in nature. Just because the color or body is slightly different doesn't make it a hybrid or different fish. All humans might have different hair and skin color, but they are all the same sp. They are not hybrids. Why should fish color be any different? Its only a skin/scale pigment difference. unfortunately most xanthic animals don't survive in the wild since they stand out. They often get eaten or can't eat. When people breed fish they have a greater success rate of living since they are fed by humans.

So I assume you have taken classes of that stuff. Do U think there's Xanthics for human beings?

And what do you think about Vitalago?

I'm just saying color is no indicator of a hybrid. Maybe bad example w/ humans. No two animals have exact colors/patterns. Fish don't clone themselves. That dovii doesn't look like anything else than a dovii. Not even close to any other cichlid sp.

I understand what you mean about the gold and silver Jags.

Trimachorns fade;black flowers go away. There's something different about the cells of the Trimac flowers and the teXas pearls which remains after fade. Something different for the Dovvi black freckles I assume.

And unbelievable fish like this should have Proof

Because that Trimmachorn^ can look 97% Trimac and fade to have ppl think it's a true Xanthic Trimac.

But the op found the fish and shared with da site. The owner not asking us anything. We just find it intersting. :)

If I was owner, I'd deinitely be interested to know the FACT unless I already know it's a hybrid.

well.... U're not.

So what you guys think about this Jag too? Is it real Xanthic or a hybrid that just came out to be that way?

yeah and probly know more than me about cichlids.

But looks to me the Gold jags you are talking about are the faders too. Because that one there got black pigments left undone.

And I think they are ALL hybrids
