Red Severums

Wonder if they are like the Jacks and be better off having a female gold if you are going to cross a red and a gold. Also heard all reds are males. I really don't buy that.

Not true, ive seen female reds, infact I have one that keep laying eggs under a log with a male red, I been lazy to save the eggs because the log is too big to transfer for hatching and they eat the eggs in 12 hours, ill keep observing.

Can a school or shoal of RED SEVERUMS live in a 150gal tank with Jack Dempseys? Can they defend themselves from Jacks?

I'm not sure if the kinds matter but I have 2 gold Severums and 2 red spotted Severums with 7 jack Dempseys and I haven't had any problems yet with them getting getting picked on.

I have mine with some blue and blue gene dempseys. No problem but the blues tend to be a little calmer.

Here was my pair, the Gold was the female, i sold her to keep peace in my Sev community from breeding, just got 4 males now.
