Did it have the girl curl before you got it? How soon are you going to be upgrading him to the 120? If you haven't purchased the 120 yet, you may consider a 180. The footprint would be bigger, and giving him more turn around room as he grows. I have one I rescued as a little 2 incher ( had bad gill curl already), and he's growing very steadily. The price in between a 120 and a 180 aren't that bad either.
you really should get him a bigger tank i like the idea of a 180 it is wider than the 120. also that pleco will probably dissapear soon, just lettin you know.

he's from cartimar, the largest seller of exotic fish here in manila...there are so many stocks of rtc there he only cost $17...almost all rtc's there are jam packed and mixed w/ other fish..

I know your comment is in good faith / jest BUT I really wish there was a minimum price law on these fish as too many die in smal tanks with novice fish keepers.
Yup, people associate cheap with disposable. It's a shame.
