solid black strips come and go frequently. I just wonder why the black strips wont stay long. most time the black fade away.

I need to know its sex so that I can buy one of opposite sex.

When u order the oppisite sex, why not just order 1 of each...

Female - black part on dorsal fin and color, Festae - black spot on back not covering entire area and the Y shape of the front black stripes.

i bought this one from lfs. this is the only one they have at that time. I just dont have choice. next time when I go there I will ask for a male if most of you think this one is female.

Chances are your lfs will not be able to get you the Male Festae, unless you have a very knowledgeable LFS near you. I have put in special orders before, and got fish that were so far off from what i ordered, i left without buying the fish.

If you want a really nice Male Festae, search on our forums in the marketplace, i have seen a lot of males for sale recently!
