Red texas fading red?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here's my unfaded red Texas. He's about 7 months old. I don't think he will ever get red. Seems if he was he would show some color by now. Only thing nice about him is he has nice pearls.so I dunno.

Yes he does have nice pearls. Very low percentages show red. Some will fade and show this orange color... unfortunately she is sterile.

I had seen "super red" parrots & bought a few. They just ended up orange in a few months. Sucks, won't fall for that again. I have had this parrot for a few years. She is not dyed. She goes from pale pink to deep red. This pic is her & rt. I'll try and get better shot of her red.

She looks nice! Will you post some growouts from her that are showing red?

Will do. My first batch from her is just about 3 months. I have 2 keepers from that are showing her red base @ maybe 3" I'll try and get some good pics tonight.

Sounds good. We'll see if they fade and still keep the red color.

Not yet...they are still in the growout stage. Really like the female you posted.

Ok. Thank you. She is nice but sterile:(... But my buddy has her sister(that IMO looks better than mine) that has yet to be checked for fertility.
