Well... it's been 3 weeks I think. there are probably 4-5 Leaf things coming out of the bulb. It's quite interesting. They kinda look like 3 fingered hands... They are not roundish. Is this okay?
A pic might help, when the new leaves are coming out of the bulb, it should look sort of like a pod being pushed up and then the leaf will unfurl. Most of the leaves I have seen are more roundish in shape.
Got back from vacation and saw that the Red Tiger Lotus has a new leaf. It is more roundish in the middle but still looks like a chicken foot. It's about 3 times bigger than all the other leaves! I also noticed that it has dropped roots down into my Flourite!!!! Hopefully it will start to grow faster!!
Sometimes when leaves come out they will be in the shape of a isosceles triangle with short end pushed in. As it grows it'll form the more recognizable shape of circle. Oh yeah if you want your tiger lotus to stay low to the ground you may have to trim the leaves and "train" the plant
Not really... I still don't know if the early leaves of a red tiger lotus bulb are supposed to look like that........ I wonder If I got something different.
