First I'm gonna say to those who dont believe in the gel foods this thread is not a debate on nutrient density vs. pellets or whatever cause i do still believe pellets to be superior in most ways outside of fry feeding applications but the gel foods are a good change up to the normal stuff and i like it, feed it to my fish and endorse it very highly. Well heres how i mix it up and a cool way i found to mold it consistently with just some plain old egg crate. This mix is called spawn and grow and is meant for conditioning breeding fish and raising fry. thanks everyone for watching and check out my Hoga smashing this stuff.

I appreciate the video. It was good to see the actual product. It appears to be an easy food to prepare and I can see how it can be a valued source of food for foraging fry. That was very smart of you to use the egg crate as a mold for the gel too. I've only used gel foods sparingly in the past. I've never used it consistently. All of my cichlids are on a staple diet of mostly pellets. Hopefully a few other members who have tried Repashy will chime in with their results. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. BTW that Hoga is very nice!

Thanks very much. Wanted to show the cichlid guys that this stuff has an application here too. I would note that the hoga has put on more size quicker than any of my other fish and is the fish that takes repashy the best. My other fast grower is my dovii who also takes this stuff so thats somerhing to note. Only feed maybe every two or three days. The rest are pellets.

Ive been using the spawn and grow for my fry and they seem to enjoy it. It just made a batch of the soilent green. I start feeding to my larger cichlids tomorrow to see how they like it

Great videos. Very good explanation of the product and application. How does it work for fry and other smaller fish. Do you feed tiny pieces or does it break up once in the water?
