Repticlands attempt at a 3d background thread

I'm going to attempt to set up a super awesome planted aquarium!

the first thing on my list to do is to build a 3d background. I don't do many DIY projects so let's see how this turns out.


cut the styrofoam to fit the back of the tank earlier. plan on cutting out the filter area later tonight.

Note: styrofoam gets everywhere

yeah I'm going to carve to look like a rock structure. trying to decide if I want to use that filter or if I want to get a more hidden canister filter.

Are you incorporating actual driftwood into the background or are you using that for reference?
