I like the idea of putting real DW in the background, hope it turns out good for ya...been wanting to try DIY background myself just havent had the time unfortunatly.

yeah I'm a little worried about doing it. I was thinking first layer of concrete then silicone the wood on to the concrete then on the other layers of concrete just kind of mold it into the background to help it stay in place

Put another layer on today took some pics but they did not save four some reason. I think thats going to be the final layer! Time to color it up a bit then silicone it to the tank.

If you are planning on doing this make sure you have a spray bottle of water. before you apply each layer spray it down with water.
