Resisting temptation

Lol I can see how that would have good and bad points!

150g is massive, I can't really see myself ever going over 100g to be honest lol

I miss my 150g I had a tall one.. Couldn't get a long one to fit in my room when I lived with my parents before I moved out. Was pretty damn heavy too my dad and I had to carry it ourselves we don't have any friends :( lol. but you should get one. you'll kick yourself in the butt for not getting one sooner ;)

I said that about my 150, then I bought a 310, now that looks tiny lol. it never ends.

I don't think I'd sleep at night with a tank that size haha! my friends and family have already accepted that I am paranoid about people near my tank, potentially breaking it somehow etc lol! With a 300g I'd probably end up a hermit lol

arrghh my friend who has his own fishroom etc, has text me that he has a tonne of juvenile angelfish, including platinum/german blue types :(

Lol, I'm happy with my 7ft 300dd, opens up a world of new fish and combos..., as with convict 360 I've spent ridiculous amounts of money changing stock, I would thinks upwards of 2000 dollars in the last few years and I'm not a rich man!-)

lol i'm bad for changing stock, I think i've yet to reach your level though :P

Ive changed my stock allot as well. Mostly in part to fish not being compatible. Id rather see the fish thriving with someone else than living in fear in my tanks.

Problem for me is the cost of electricity and water in nyc is just too high imo to maintain several large tanks. So i have to make due

how many tanks do you have?

Yeah +1 on the fear thing, gone are the days of trying to mix convict cichlids with tetra's, barbs etc; even if it can be done in some cases, it always felt unfair seeing curious peaceful fish, quickly beaten up by a territorial convict :(

Only have 4 tanks 2 are empty atm. I done trying to mix cichlids lol. I just have no luck at it.

Having to rehome fish does suck but also allowede to experience keeping differemt fish and really find species that i enjoy keeping

I'm a bit like Krich and owned most the fish i am actually capable of keeping long term...

The only time temptation really hits is if i see something really rare that i've always wanted, but that doesnt happen often and normally the pricing of said fish puts me off...

Like i saw some really interesting rare tetras i wanted to add to my 60G, but at approx USD $20 for a fish under 1" long i couldnt justify it...
That kind of reminds me of when I first laid eyes on what turned out to be my favorite tetra, the Congo tetras.....They were about ten bucks each while most of the other available tetra species were about three bucks a piece.
