looking good.. keep us updated... and big tank planed?

No big tanks in there big tanks go in the kitchen/dining room area, looking for a good deal on a 150-200 long for a room divider.

This room is for my betta, guppy, angelfish breeding projects and a couple 55g grow out tanks for the show tanks upstairs.

Got the 2nd coat of paint done today gonna let it set a week before putting tanks in.Boy does that antifungal paint stink!keep the door closed a few Days to let it dry then open the window, cant leave it open as its getting pretty cold up here. That bright white sure does conserve/reflect light 1 4'shoplight and the room is very well lit!

sounds like its going well, where's the update pic????

And what does the wife think of all this (if you have one)????

Aired out the room today, moved the big rack into place realized the ply on bottom shelf is rotted.Pulled it up and there is some damage to the 4x4 for bottom shelf, have to see if the sawmill has any in stock later this week.Minor setback but annoying.

Keep us posted with pictures!

Had some free time yesterday,so started taking apart the rack.Ended up taking whole thing apart to remove rotted wood and to correct some problems I had with it,First of all its 17.5 inches wide  Have not idea what possesed me to make it that wide(drugs, psycosis,a message from space?could have been any of those at that point in my life).
Since that rack is going to hold 55,2x30 and 4x20g I made it 13" wide.I eliminated the bottom shelf since it rotted away I decided it was a bad idea to put another one in ,anything on bottom(sumps, storage will have separate stands. This setup will also make it easier to circulate air along the floor, where all my mold problems were. The rack itself will sit up on 2 treated brazilian mahogany(a piece of scrap thats been sitting in my shed about 14 years) 2x4 to keep it off the floor.
The middle shelf was a little short 24" to get at stuff in the 55g so I made it 28"tall.going to paint it I like the rough sawn look but the splinters!! No pics as my wife had the camera today.will post some soon
Its held together by 4" 5/16 lag screws and 3" # 10 wood screws

My son and I painted stand today.will put the plywood on and paint the floor this week.Hope to have water in there by new year
