Rhino iguana...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, they do still have the iguana, in fact. But the price tag on the tank says $129 now instead of the $100 they told me :irked:. It's not that big a deal to me, since its still really cheap. But my fiance is pretty set against it, and I've been spending so much on the house lately, that I don't have any extra money to spend on it right now. :(

They do have a 30 day layaway plan, so I could pay for it that way, but I haven't gotten the terrarium from my parents house, and I'd need to buy everything for the terrarium first.

If the iguana's around long enough, I'll almost certainly buy it. I just have other priorities at the moment, in addition to not wanting to piss off my fiance.

get someone on here to buy it and hold it for you! that's a sweet opportunity!

Grab a rubbermaid at homedepot some mulch and clay dish for feeding and water, a little clamp lamp and viola ! You spend 20 bucks on a setup. Then you can pay the lizard off via the lay-away plan. The price is excellent on that animal!

I remember back when I worked at a pet shop this couple came in with what they said was a rhino. They no longer wanted it and was willing to give it to the store.

Well, I've got a 34" wide, 30" deep, 60" tall glass terrarium with screen top. The entire front, except for the bottom 12", opens out as a door for great access. Its at my parents house, so I'd have to bring it to my house to set it up. I'd rather use that than a tupperware tub.

I may try to put it on layaway and see how mad she gets. Maybe if I cancel our cable she'll be ok with it...

I actually just put 2 tons of organic mulch down in the backyard, and I've got several large pieces of driftwood back there that would look nice in a terrarium as well. I've got some bowls that would probably work for a water dish, and I've got a clamp lamp and 60w flood bulb that I used for a turtle I used to have.

I think I actually have everything to set it up, its mostly not wanting to piss of the fiance right now. Maybe if I do like $30 a week layaway...

She'll fall in love with it, its cute and looks awesome when older.
If she can come around to liking fish that is.
