She'll fall in love with it, its cute and looks awesome when older.
If she can come around to liking fish that is.

I already have several (5 running + 1 setting up) fish tanks, plus a 3500g pond. She's adjusted to the fish (although she thinks I spend to much time and money on them) just fine.

She loves the ball python I got. Especially since I traded an empty aquarium straight up for her and her enclosure.

If I can find some way to make it a cost-neutral transaction (basically sell off something I already have) she probably won't have any issues. She just doesn't like me spending money period. Which is good, because she helps keep my fish and reptile obsessions in check.

Maybe I'll sell a couple of fish...

My fiance OK'd the iguana! I'm going to stop by the pet store after work to put down a deposit. I'll go out to my parents this weekend to get the terrarium for it. What do you guys think of the one I described on the previous page? Should it work fine?

I do have to break down my 3 smallest tanks, but I was already wanting to do that, so no big deal. I also have to get rid of cable TV, but I had already promised that as well, and we don't watch very often anyways. We have netflix, and a Wii, so we can watch all the movies we want if we get bored.

I'm stoked.

Congrats!!!
that terrarium should work for now but something with more floorspace will be needed eventually

Oh yah, definitely. I could also lay it on its back, so that it is 34" wide by 60" long by 30" tall if that would be better...

that sounds much better actually, the iguana will appreciate the extra space

I don't know, I might leave it upright for now, just to save on floor space at the moment. I can always tip it back later.

He is still just a little guy, after all...

Nice!!! Wish i could get another Iguana... maybe once i get into a bigger home on a piece of land i'll look into doin that... How i miss my Igg!! I see him here and there when out at the local Tropical Greenhouse where they have a petting zoo with an exotic section.. he's lookin really healthy and happy so that's made me happy to see he's doin fine!

Here are a couple bad cell phone pics I took yesterday while I was handling him. He's got good colors, and he seems to have decent weight on him. Let me know how he looks to you guys.

Hopefully that won't be too hard. He(she?) let me hold him without too much fuss yesterday, and seemed to enjoy having both the top of his head and his chin rubbed. Then he got spooked by someone behind me and tried to take flight from 4 feet up :screwy:. I put him back in the cage at the store so he wouldn't get hurt.

My fiance does like that fact that he's vegetarian (like her) a lot, so I think that might have helped, and bumped him up a few levels in her liking it.

Can anyone sex it from those two pics I provided?
