HAHA Ya i'm upgrading the light the fixture just came in its a 48" 4 compact florecens with led moon lights im going to hang it over the tank. Duck weed sounds great atm I transplanted some 30" tall Jungle Val so it reachs almost to the top of the 29g tank. But I need to keep building on the plant life. This is an on going project. lol And yes to those have asked this thing is a pain in the butt to clean lol. The wine bottles were totally random they were available when I wanted to test the setup so I used um and they just have kinda stuck around I like um with the black sand. The only big add now is the black lights that I want to mount behind the tank to light it at night with the moon lights.
Just had to comment on this!! I love the concept and nads to give it a try! However....the exact effect without all the scariness could be had with a sealed top on the 75 with a hole cut in it for the 29. Then remove the bottom of the 29.
I've had this tank up and running now for awhile now no leaks no fear.... my fish love it, though maintenance is a pain in the #@$ but I love the look. Trying to work out a pump system to constantly suck water to the top of the 29g and then out into the sump till either the power goes out or it runs out of water. Ideas?
