Tried feeding them new era pellets. They are a softer higher protein pellet. Both kels are now eating new era and even picking it off the gravel. Couldn't be happier! Bellies are full.

I started mine on new era pellets for that reason plan to add nls and hikari after a couple weeks

Friday update - kels started to take cichlid gold mini pellets today. Pretty pumped about. Going to continue feeding them the new era and plankton as well. These guys have great appetites. Look very healthy.

After your posts I went out to look for that New Era brand of food but I have not seen it yet in any pet store here in Hawaii. Can you post a pic of the ones you guys got? Maybe I can order online if I know which one to get.
