Are rio travessao peacock bass available in the hobby? I like them since they have a Nuchal Hump and I am into Flowerhorns, but I really don't see much about them so I don't know if they are in the hobby.

From what I’ve gathered, there’s a few pinima from farmed sources and Rio tapajos coming in right now. A decent majority of the vendors are selling them off as c. Vazzoleri, hybrids, and bunch of other names. These are all pinima coming in but I’ve noticed their base colors have been varying slightly from batch to batch. I don’t know if this is normal or if it’s the result of farming vs wild but anything coming in under the name of almost impossible to obtain bass as of right now are more than likely going to be pinima. Based off their colors it’s easy to see how people could try to sell them off as vazz. Here’s a picture of some I recently got shipped to me.
