Ron's Cichlid food?

I have no relationship with any company. My advice is to do your own research and draw your own conclusions. Plenty of info that can be gleaned from past discussions on this site. Good luck.

Yes Sir. I understand. I actually wasn't looking for advice and was instead interested in what conclusion the most prolific poster on nutrition had drawn. I gather you'd prefer not to answer the question and can appreciate that you've provided as much info as you'd care to. Thanks for the response.

I've wondered about the same thing as recently as this morning. I think I'll let my fish finish the bag and then I'll be slow to re-order more until I have a better idea of what specifically I'm buying
I was going through some older threads of mine, and ran into this. What did you end up doing with your bag of Ron’s food? Did you order more, continue to feed, stop feeding it, etc?

I use Northfin the most, followed by NLS and also large-sized frozen krill. I tried a bag of Ron's Cichlid Food a few months ago that I ordered This One and both my tanks had no problem with it. But they eat all the other previously mentioned food just as well.

The difference I saw with the Ron's Cichlid Food I ordered was in the cup where I soaked it, as I do all pellets; drops of oily residue float at the top each time. Northfin and NLS don't have this 'oil'. I finished the bag and then just decided to stick with the other foods I'd been using.

Note: I occasionally feed other foods such as raw fruit pieces (ex/ apple, mango) to my Oscars, raw fish & raw shrimp to my Frontosa, etc.

Edit: just realized this was an older thread.

ha, sorry for dragging you into an older thread. I was just curious what Trouser Cough Trouser Cough ended up doing with his bag of Ron’s, after we previously discussed some potential issues with the food. Thanks for your input on the food, may help folks who stumble here in the future.

I haven't ordered more.

When I acquired Ron's feed I was also experimenting w/ feeds from other vendors so I still occasionally feed it to my fish but I can't see myself ordering more until he adopts a more objective labeling practice.

Older threads are still good threads, friend. Websites like this one last a long time and so do the Q's and A's.

Agreed, it is a thread that should stay relevant for some time.
